This is a picture of a tree I thought was twisty and neat. Red-shouldered Hawks often sit here. There is no hawk at this time.



This is a Western Scrub Jay with an acorn. I would love to know how he intends to eat it.



Here's Santa Rosa. It was too humid today.. but I can't complain, cause it's California.



This I thoguht was a male House Sparrow, but on closer inspection this looks to actually be a leucistic Dark-eyed Junco. Leucism is a trait that means color is partially or entirely absent in pigment. It is not albinism. This is the same thing that causes 'piebald' patterns.



Everyone loves a good crow. This one didn't caw. He kind of just rattled at me. Over and over.
