This is a Sharp-shinned Hawk. Known as a 'Sharpie'. They are virtually impossible to identify from a Cooper's Hawk without a size comparison. This one can be IDed by the way it is holding its wings. Even then.. I could be wrong.

This is a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Alas, very dark shot.

Black Phoebes sound like chicks when they peep. Cute. Except the one that camped outside my window for a week last spring.

A Downy Woodpecker. Small and cute. You can tell them from Hairy Woodpeckers by the size of bill. They are also much smaller than Hairys.

This is a Brown Creeper. They are very fun to watch as they fly to the bottom of a tree then circle their way up eating bugs, then reset, like a little bird typewriter.

This is Bob. He dropped the nut and looked really upset.
