This book below has been invaluable to me for IDing birds. It's fun and specific, and I like just paging through and reading about random birds for fun.

Incidentally, I wouldn't mind this other Sibley's book about the Eastern birds. It would be delightful perhaps as a gift someday. You know, if someone wanted an idea for a good cheap gift. Someday. Ahem.
